To provide the junior golf community in North Alabama and Southern Tennessee the opportunity to participate in junior golf regardless of skill level. To teach the juniors the core values of Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Responsibility, and Perseverance to become positive influences in their schools and communities. To help promote and grow the game of golf and create golfers for a life time.

2019 Chris Burns Junior Invitational
The Chris and Patricia Burns Trophies will be awarded to the Medalist in Boys and Girls Divisions
The North Alabama Southern Tennessee Junior Golf Association will be hosting the 2019 Chris Burns Junior Invitational. This a 3 day event with Match Play on the Final Day. The field will be cut after 2 rounds for the Match Play portion of the tournament.
Age Groupings: Male and Female
10-11 - 9 Holes (18)
12-13 - 18 Holes (36)
14-15 - 18 Holes (36)
16-18 - 18 Holes (36)

The LBF Memorial Junior Ladies Classic
Laurie Burns Franks Memorial Trophy
The North Alabama Southern Tennessee Junior Golf Association and will be hosting a 36 hole all ladies junior event in 2019. The event will be ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and the Medalist will receive a no cost exemption into a Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Event.

Our Team
Tim King - PGA
Founder / Executive Director
Fore Junior Golf Inc., The North Alabama Southern Tennessee Junior Golf Association and The Future Players Tour is led by Tim King who has been promoting junior golf for over 25 years. Tim incorporated Fore Junior Golf in 1994 in Madison County Alabama and formed the North Alabama Junior Golf Association (NAJGA). The association serviced over 450 junior golfers over a 14 year period and conducted junior golf tournaments all across North Alabama at some of the finest country clubs in the state. Tim has been a PGA of America Golf Professional since 1999. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Athens State University and an MBA in Sports Management and Leadership from Northcentral University. Tim moved to Pensacola Florida in 2015 and worked with the First Tee of Northwest Florida as the Tournament Director for the Greater Pensacola Junior Golf Association. He also served as Head Golf Professional at Stonebrook Golf Club. Tim recently moved back to North Alabama and has re-branded the NAJGA into the NASTJGA to promote junior golf all across North Alabama and Southern Tennessee. Tim became the Men and Women's Golf Coach at Martin Methodist in 2017 and led his men's team to a runner-up finish in the Southern States Athletic Conference for the first time in program history in his first season. Tim will begin his 2nd season in September. Tim was named the PGA Dixie Section Junior Golf Leader of the Year and Favorite Teaching Professional by the readers of the Tennessee Valley Golf News in 2000. Jason Vaughn - PGA
Co-Founder
Former University of North Alabama All-American Jason Vaughn brings his knowledge and skill sets to the NAJGA team. Jason also coached the UNA Men's Golf Team for 4 years and is the founder of Vaughn Golf Academy. Over the last 12 years Jason has created a solid group of junior players through his academy. Vaughn has earned two degrees from UNA, with a Bachelor's degree in Fitness Management and a Master's in Exercise Science. He is also a graduate of the PGA of America Management Program. He worked for four years as Assistant Golf Professional at the Robert Trent Jones of the Shoals courses and then two years as Head Golf Professional at RTJ. Jason now serves as the Head Golf Professional at Blackberry Trail where he also runs his academy. Jason was inducted into the UNA Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2014 on October 4.
